The Sophia Yarnall Jacobs papers contain photocopies of correspondence, photocopies of newspaper clippings, research notes, manuscript drafts, printed materials, letter books, and photographs. All the files relate either to the Coxe family or to the various mining enterprises, and were used by Jacobs to write the novel The Clark Inheritance. The Sophia Yarnall Jacobs papers contain research files, letter books, and other miscellaneous data pertaining to the Coxe family and their ownership of anthracite coal land and coal mining enterprises in the Eastern Middle anthracite coal field of northeastern Pennsylvania.

Title: Manuscripts pertaining to South Carolina, 1708-1720.

The memorial traces the history of the ownership of Carolana [sic] beginning with a recitation of the original grant made by Charles I in 1630 to Sir Robert Heath and listing all those with title to the land up to Dr. Coxe. After proving his title to the property, Coxe describes his plan for settlement, relations with the regency and the Board of Trade and his plan to give the colony to the crown. A letter from Thomas Nairne to Charles, Earl of Sunderland. As agent and itinerary justice among the Indians, Naire writes concerning his investigation in to the strengths of the tribes inlands belonging to the colony of South Carolina that could possibly be united by the French at Mobile against the colony, and makes suggestions about future settlement and trade.

The Weld Coxe Collection, comprised of correspondence, photographs, bound volumes, maps and published pamphlets, documents the history of the Coxe family in America. Members of the Coxe family have played a major role in the political, legal, economic, and industrial development of America from its colonial beginnings to present day. Of particular importance is the unpublished manuscript copy of Brinton Coxe's, An Essay on Judicial Power and Unconstitutional Legislation, Being A Commentary on Parts of the United States Constitution. The first volume of this work was published after Brinton's death in 1892, but the second volume was never published and remains in manuscript form as part of this collection. Also worth mentioning is the material pertaining to the 17th century land speculation of Dr. Daniel Coxe of London, the political correspondence of Tench Coxe, the social memorabilia collected by Mrs. Brinton Coxe and the large amount of Coxe genealogical material. The Weld Coxe Collection documents over three hundred years of the Coxe family in America and provide valuable insight into the lives various family members. Beginning with Dr. Daniel Coxe of London, the proprietary governor of West Jersey and continuing through Daniel Michaux Coxe, who in 1968 oversaw the liquidation of the Coxe properties in Pennsylvania, this collection spans eight generations of Coxes who had the drive and determination to make their ancestor's dreams a reality.

Basse's account of "actynges accordynge to those rules & Instrucshons recived from you at my departer from England," listed in in "the order in which you have placed them." The twelve articles describe Basse's actions in regard to Coxe's acquistion of 30 000 acres above the Falls of the Delaware, the estates of Edward Byllynge, John Fenwick, etc.: the article 5 describes Basse's inquiries conducted with "the greatest caushon," about the land belonging to "the Metropolitan Indians at Cohansey."
