A collection of bills send to or by Manuel Eyre, for such commodities as textile fabrics, handkerchiefs, boots and shoes, shawls, candles, carpets, soap, cigars, tea, cheese, hair powder, assorted goods from a drugstore (including spices, polishing liquid, and some medicines), gloves, and other items. One bill is for making men's clothes. As wel, there is one letter addressed to Eyre from Tobias Little of Shrewsbury, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, requesting money (dated 1834). A check drawn on the Bank of Pennsylvania and signed by Eyre in 1813 is decorated with a seal (the state seal of Pennsylvania?). The watermark on the paper is only partly visible. The collection also includes a deed by which Philip Warner, a Maryland cabinetmaker, sells land in the Northern Liberties to Mauel Eyre, shipwright, in 1780. The deed is not completely filled out (the month and date and other information are left blank), nor it is signed.
