This collection primarily consists of MB's correspondence and memorabilia pertaining to his Americana collections and involvement in the People-to-People Program. The bulk of the correspondence consists of condolence letters sent to MB's wife, Llora, and include letters from former Presidents Eisenhower and Truman, and former First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson. Bortman's own correspondence includes letters from these luminaries as well as Winston Churchill, former British Prime Minister. Several photographs, some signed, of Bortman with Vice President and Lady Bird Johnson, Churchill, and Eisenhower are included, as well as scrapbooks with news clippings and programs regarding the People-to-People program and the Paul Revere Liberty Bowl.

During World War II Wiseman was again engaged in intelligence operations for Great Britain and also devoted himself to war-relief work. A small amount of papers document some of these activities. Business and financial papers from his partnership in the banking firm of Kuhn, Loeb & Company (1929-1955) include correspondence, particularly in relation to the promotion of capital investment in underdeveloped countries. Among the few personal items are several photographs, memorabilia, and letters from friends and his three daughters.

Contains personal correspondence; diaries and accounts of her social work in France and China; source material for a study done by Nancy Creshoff in 1968-1969, of the Appointment Bureau under Stedman's directorship during the Depression; her other published and unpublished writings including an autobiography; and photos. Records about Dorchester Abbey include papers from Stedman's fundraising activities, her journals and writings, and tapes of meetings and interviews with Stedman. Also some early family papers including Samuel Munson's journal of a voyage to Batavia in 1833, and Augustus F. Holt's account of transporting fugitive slaves in 1844.
