Collection includes: Letter (2 p.), 1905 Aug. 28, Nashville, from John W. Morton (Secretary of State), concerning interest in the Ku-Klux Klan as a result of Dixon's article in the Metropolitan magazine, reminiscing about the founding of the K.K.K., and asking if Crowe remembers the exact date the Klan disbanded; letter (4 p.), 1908 Oct. 27, West Park, Miss., from Laura Martin Rose, reflecting on the valor of the soldiers of the Confederacy; letter (6 p., with envelope), 1913 Sept. 16, West Park, Miss. (to Mrs. Crowe), concerning her soon to be published book on the K.K.K. With 2 photographic postcards, "Regalia of Grand Cyclops K.K.K./Original now in U.D.C. Chapter Room, at Florence, Alabama," one indicating in pen the mounted figure to be James R. Crowe. Also with 2 newspaper clippings (now photocopied). Items were removed from the book, The Ku Klux Klan or Invisible empire, by Mrs. S.E.F. Rose (New Orleans, 1914), the gift to Mrs. James R. Crowe from the author.
