Eight letters (seven original and one copy, dating from 1903 to 1918) to Simon Bussy, a French painter. The letters attest to the long acquaintance between the two men and primarily reflect a dialogue between artists. Also one letter to Bussy's wife, Dorothy Strachey, and two to his daughter, Jane, dating to 1928; all of a social nature. A 1920 letter to Miss Deacon appears unrelated to the Bussys.

Most of his thirty-one correspondents are well known names, such as Charles Angrand, Cocteau, Dérain, Gide, André Beaudin, Anatole Jakovsky, the brothers Dufy, Fernand Léger, Othon Friesz, André Salmon, and Waldemar George (Galerie Jeanne Bucher).
