Demise by Thomas Webbe of Fornham St. Genophese and Margery his wife (late the wife of Stephen Nobyll), Robert Cage of Conston, Thomas Bogeis, Thomas Leyng of Hengrave, John Coray of Westowe, and William Mosse of All Saints, William Stephynsson of Bury St. Edmunds, gentleman, and John Hedge of Bury St. Edmunds, yeoman, of a messuage with 1 croft and 2 acres of pasture and wood, a "pightell" called "Gossehill," 4 pieces of land containing 10 acres of land, and 2 pieces of pasture containing 7 acres, with their appurtenances, lying in the town and fields of Fornham St. Genophese; which the grantors [excepting Thomas Webbe] had of the grant of Robert Bret of Bury St. Edmunds, Robert Punder of Bury St. Edmunds, Robert Gerard of Fornham St. Genophese, and Walter Long of Culford. Grant by Thomas Tyler of Wretill (Essex), William Carre, William Brownyng, and Thomas Dunowe of Chelmsford (Essex), lately dwelling in Borham (Essex), William Eve, grocer, William Munde, mercer, John Warenger, Thomas Spryngfeld, and Thomas Stafford, weaver, of Chelmsford aforesaid of all that messuage with a building built upon it, with garden adjacent and all its appurtenances lying in the towm of Chelmsford, that is the messuage of a certain John Barbour, clerk, late of John Gafferey and now of Sir John Rede, bounded by the site of the chapel of the church of the Blessed Mary in the parish of the aforesaid church on one side, the cottage of a certain Thomas Plomer, afterwards of John Chertesy and lately of William Heyward, deceased, on the other side; and abutting on the garden of a certain John Brewer, afterwards of Richard Joseppe and now of Richard Holmsted, on one side, and on the other on the king's highway leading from Chelmsford to Branktre. Dated at Chelmsford on the last day of November, 10 Henry VII.

Demise of Thomas Marchal, late of Great Dunmow, now of Colchester, John Lyghtffote the Elder of Dunmow aforesaid, Robert Lyston of Chelmesford, John Nicoll of the same, and Stephen Medbrook of Rothyng Margarete to Robert Hamunde of Chelmesford aforesaid, Margery his wife, John Wodecok of the same, John Hamunde the Elder of Great Badone, and William Hayward of Chelmesford aforesaid of all of a certain messuage with buildings thereon erected and a garden adjoining in Chelmesford, between the messuage late of John Barbour, clerk, now of William Benett, clerk, and the cottage sometime of Robert Chever, now of Thomas Plumer, the ends abuting one on the garden sometime of John Breuer now of Richard Joseppe, the other on the highway leading from Chelmesford to Branktre; which tenement the grantors had of late of the gift of Thomas Dawe of Chelmesford and Agnes his wife. Given at Chelmesford on 19 March, 27 Henry VI.
