The first manuscript in the collection is an autobiographical sketch written in 1868 detailing Andrew's conversion to the Swedenborgian faith. In it he describes his attempts to find a suitable church in Boston to no avail. In 1827, he moved to Lancaster, MA and became friends with the Carter family whose members introduced him to the New Jerusalem Church [Swedenborgian]. After reading several doctrines of this faith, Andrews began attending religious services in Worcester, MA and became a member of the society in 1830. The second manuscript in the collection is a journal that was kept by Andrews during a trip to London and Paris from May, 1835 to July, 1836. Andrews had an interesting and amusing writing style, providing frequent comments on the manners and customs of the English. While in London, Andrews contacted William Edward West on June 29, 1835 to ask if he might engrave one of West's paintings. On July 8, he engaged Joseph Goodyear for six months to oversee his engraving work. As a member of London's community of artists, Andrews felt compelled to remark about copyright, classical and modern artists, and his contemporaries; he often made reference to George Cruikshank, Joseph Goodall, and a Mr. Flaxman. Andrews finished his studies in London in March, 1836 and left for Paris. In Paris he engraved a portrait of Benjamin Franklin. Andrews left for Boston and home on July 23, 1836. His journal ends on August 5 while he was still at sea.

This collection is a compilation of Park's extensive correspondence, for the period 1910 to 1924, with museum directors, portrait owners, authors, publishers, photographers, art connoisseurs, and a variety of scholarly institutions concerning his work in the field of colonial art. Included are letters on the value of specific works, letters with detailed descriptions of portraits, letters on the compilation of photographs of old Worcester views (with which Park became involved in 1924), letters on the advisability of unearthing the old gravestones on Worcester's common. There are also many photographs of portraits collected by Park and by Clarence Saunders Brigham (1877-1963).

Morse's hand, August 1, 1833, of some of the subscribers to a dinner to be given by the National Academy of Design for Charles Robert Leslie; two signed exhibition announcements, one for John H. Twachtman, and Julian A. Weir; four receipts for James Claypoole, William Birch, Gilbert Stuart (signed receipt for payment for a portrait of John Adams, 1815), and Adolph U. Wertmuller; and an indenture release deed for Stephen Warne, 1731.
