Title: Financial records, 1763-1783.

Consists of a receipt book used from 1763 to 1777, an account book (on microfilm, Mic. 7) kept from 1767 to 1787, and two bills relating to Randolph's personal and household finances and his cabinetmaking business along with letters and orders pertaining to his interest in an iron furnace in Speedwell, N.J. The account book consists of monies owed to Randolph and the date and method of payment. Little detail on what was sold or work performed is given. Many prominent Philadelphians are mentioned in the volume. Bills reveal that Randolph sold a desk and bookcase to George Croghan in 1766, chairs in 1768, and a gilded looking glass to Levi Hollingsworth.

Fruitwood tall-case musical clock. The hood has a molded broken-scroll pediment terminating in carved roundels, a molded arch above the door, free-standing fluted columns at the front corners, engaged fluted columns at the rear corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with ogee molding at the top, fluted quarter columns at the front corners, and a case door with a shaped top. Base with ogee and ovolo molding at the top, fluted quarter columns at the front corners, an applied base panel with a shaped top, ogee molding at the bottom, a shaped pendant drop, and supported on ogee bracket feet. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals, arabic minute numerals and arabic numerals indicating the day of the month, applied cast ornament in the spandrels, applied registers in each of the spandrels indicate the signs of the zodiac, the Equation of Time, chime regulation and tune selection. There is an orrery in the lunette, flanked by applied cast ornament. Inside the chapter ring there is a moon phase dial, engraved acanthus leaves, and the inscription "David Rittenhouse Norriton" surrounded by an engraved cartouche. Sweep seconds and calendar hands. Eight day movement.
