Papers include: fairy stories written for Ellen Tucker Emerson ("The Fairy Dell," "Silver Wing," "Coral-lip"), ca. 1847, and "The Frost King" [1848; not in LMA's hand], which was published in 1855 in Flower Fables (BAL 142); no. 2 of The Olive Leaf [1849]; "Thoreau's Flute," which was first published in The Atlantic Monthly in Sept. 1863 and published separately in 1899 (BAL 228); two chapters from Part II of Little Women ("Our Foreign Correspondent" and "Heartache"), which was published in Boston in 1869 (BAL 159); four chapters (three incomplete) from Little Men ("Pranks and Plays," "Patty Pans," "Daisy's Ball," and "Huckleberries"), which was published in London and Boston in 1871 (BAL 166 and 167); part of one chapter on Jack and Jill ("And Jill Finds It Out"), which was published in Boston in 1880 (BAL 195); ALS (undated invitation) to Mrs. LeBrun; and will of Louisa May Alcott, 1887 July 10 (F.A. Pratt's typescript copy, recorded 1910 Sept. 14).
