The author was the Purser aboard the Prince George, which was engaged in trade at Jidda. He was the sole survivor of an attack made on six Englishmen during a riot in 1727. This document, addressed to Henry Frankland, governor of Fort William, relates Fullerton's difficulties in attempting to carry on trade in Jidda after the riot. It also includes a copy of a letter sent from Jidda to two supercargoes of the ship Walpole at Mocha.
