The collection contains the letterpress copybook of Edmund Jenings, kept in London and Richmond, England, concerning Horatio Sharpe, Richard Lee, Edward Braddock's campaign in 1755, horse racing in Virginia, Frederick Lord Baltimore, John Randolph, the Ohio Company, Peyton Randolph, the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, William Byrd III, and William Pitt. Other subjects include the Board of Trade of Great Britain, Jewish immigration to Great Britain, Maryland Land Office, slaves, paper currency in Virginia and Maryland, pistole fee, plantations in Virginia and Maryland, salt, Seven Years' War, tobacco, and the Virginia and Maryland boundary. Also discussed are copper mines, the East India company, pamphlets of Edmund Jenings (1731-1819) and Dr. John Mitchell, the Stamp Act of 1765, taxation, the Townshend Acts of 1767, and the College of William and Mary.
