Collection includes photocopied photographs, photocopied handwritten letters, photocopied government documents, photocopied telegrams, original letter, original government document, photocopied V-mail, and a photocopied newspaper article. Also includes numerous photocopied military memorandums and certificates pertaining to the units of which Doman was a part of, or for Doman personally. Doman was killed in a German bombardment in 1943 in England, and there is a photocopied letter from the only survivor of the bombing to Doman's family. Also included are the orders for Doman to receive the Purple Heart posthumously, and letters of appreciation signed by President Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and other key figures.

Teran, Robert Douglas, 1922-. Robert Teran papers, circa 1941-2000.

Title: Robert Teran papers, circa 1941-2000.

Contains Teran's military papers, including medal citations, a history of his bomber group's (the 379th) service, an article about life in Stalag Luft III (the German POW camp he lived in after his airplane was shot down over Germany), his POW papers, and the accompanying citation for his prisoner of war medal. Photographs show Teran with his flight crew in front of his B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber and flying a training aircraft.

Tanner, John H., 1924-. John and the war years, undated.

Title: John and the war years, undated.

In a typed memoir with photographs, Tanner tells of his experiences in World War II. He was tested during high school for admission into the Army Air Corps and passed. He entered basic training within a couple weeks of graduating high school, and then went on to his different flight training schools. e flew many missions over Europe, some bombing runs, some delivering food packages to the Dutch, and one in which he and his crew flew a group of liberated Prisoners of War out of Austria.

Fenn, Golden Leroy, 1919-. Golden Fenn papers, circa 1941-2001.

Title: Golden Fenn papers, circa 1941-2001.

Contains a lengthy memoir detailing Fenn's military years. Describes his basic cavalry training (horse training, war games, living conditions). Makes special mention of his service spent as a member of the Division's band. Describes his trip to Australia, training there, and deployment to New Guinea. Gives an account of cleaning out enemy positions with constant artillery barrages. Describes his involvement in the campaign to reclaim the Philippines, the assault on the Leyte beachhead, small arms conflicts along inland Japanese positions, and the assault on, and urban fighting within, Manilla. Discusses his help in liberating Allied prisoners of war and their deplorable living conditions. Also discusses his duties as the supply sergeant for his unit. His interaction with other LDS servicemen, his role as a group leader, and his gratitude for having the opportunity to attend worship services are discussed throughout the document, as are his feelings of loneliness and his thoughts, centered on his family, while overseas. Also includes his honorable discharge papers, photocopies of marching drill orders, letters home (some from his commanding officers to his mother and wife), a photocopied church service flyer, and newspaper articles documenting the Allied march to Manilla, its capture, and the plight of the prisoners of war. Photographs show a servicemen's chapel built on a Pacific island, Fenn playing in the military band, and his unit practicing maneuvers.
