Financial records of a merchant trading with various places including Virginia, Barbadoes, Antigua, St. Christopher's, London, Cork, Dublin, Bristol, Bayonne and Bengal. The trade was general in such products as tobacco, copper, iron, chestnuts, pitch, beef, sugar, and household goods; and was carried on in the ships Mermarid, Concord, Dolphin, and Caesar. Also included are personal accounts for groceries, upholstering, haberdashery, books, pewter, and household servants. Timothy Gamon commanded one vessel, Simon Jaeson may have commanded another. Virginians mentioned are William Blackburn and Augustine Smith of Gloucester County; Edmund Kernay of James River; Thomas Beale, Sarah Brereton, Joseph Brown, Rice Curtis, Thomas Griffin, Charles Grymes, Rev. Owen Jones, Thomas Montague, Benjamin Robinson, Henry Robinson, John Tarpley, Reuben Walsh, William Woodford, and William Young of Rappahannock River.
