Manuscripts, all on paper except for one on vellum, of papers relating chiefly to Robert Doughty (d. 1670). The collection includes bills, letters to and from tradesmen, a valuation of property consumed by fire, an indenture and other legal documents regarding property, descriptions of Robert Doughty's and others' coats of arms and mottoes, and notes on the Willoughby genealogy and numerous other extensive genealogies. Other items include the verso of a note from Robert Doughty regarding shirts made for him which contains a prayer for King Charles asking that "he may return with Joy and honor;" and a document titled "The perticular of my Lord of Cumberland his prize" lists quantities of cinnanon, pepper, cloves, and nutmeg, as well as "men, & women, and prisoners."

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a collection of 15 verses primarily addressing religious, philosophical, and moral subjects. Poem titles include Humility; Prayer; Against Censure; Praeludia Mortis; Of Atheisme; and The Carrector of A Drunkard. The volume also includes a political and satirical poem against Cromwell titled A Protector Discribed which declares, "He is A Thing which wee Protector Call, From whome the king of kings Protect us all."
