Papers of George Seaton (1911-1979), an Academy Award winning screenwriter, director, and producer, reflecting his work in the film industry. Films represented include "Airport" (Universal, 1970), "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" (Para., 1954), "The Counterfeit Traitor" (Para., 1962), Academy Award winning "The Country Girl" (Para., 1954), "A Day at the Races" (MGM, 1937), "Little Boy Lost" (Para., 1953), "Miracle on 34th Street" (20th Century Fox, winner of an Academy Award in 1947), "A Night at the Opera" (MGM, 1935), "The Pleasure of His Company" (Para., 1961), "Showdown" (Universal, 1972), "Song of Bernadette" (20th Century-Fox, 1943), "36 Hours" (MGM, 1965), "What's So Bad About Feeling Good?" (Universal, 1968), and others. Of special interest are the research notes and correspondence for "The Counterfeit Spy" and "36 Hours" which detail Seaton's attempt to accurately portray World War II espionage activities. The processed portion of this collection is summarized above, dates 1934-1975, and is described in the register. Additional accessions date 1954-1977 and are described below.

The Lothar and Eva Just Film Stills Collection at the Harvard Film Archive consists of approximately 800,000 film stills, pressbooks, posters, and other cinema-related ephemera originally amassed by Lothar Just, a Munich-based film publicist. Just's expansive collection began in the gathering of image and source material for the annual film lexicons, the Heyne Filmlexikon and Filmjahrbuch, which he continues to publish.
