There are ledgers and records of the Martin Drug Co. from 1901 to 1954, materials related to the Tucson Merchants Association, 1922 to 1927, and a small amount of papers of George Martin, Sr. and his wife Delfina Redondo.

In a letter, February 13, Harriet Mathews tells William Mathews she will send him the The Watchman and Uncle Tom's Cabin, and asks him to try to persuade "Grandpa" to wind up his Port Republic, Va. affairs and retire to Charlottesville. In a second letter [April?] 16 John Mathews writes to John Dundore concerning problems with a runaway slave who had been mistreated by the man to whom she had been hired and tells of a fire in Charlottesville. In a draft reply April 17, to Harriet, Dundore advises about the slave and refuses to send travelling expense money for William to go to Norfolk and enlist in the Navy. Drury Wood is mentioned.

There are brochures relating to the Rillito Race Track, Old Pueblo Club, and Tucson Peace Center. A prospectus report in f.19 discusses the stock market crash of 1929. Photographs are snapshots of local events and social activities and include many well-known people. Individuals in the photographs including Sherwood Anderson, Ernie Cabat, William Mathews, Swede Johnson, Dave Sholin, Richard Harvill, Ida Tarbill, Frances Gillmor, Douglas Martin, Leon Uris, and many others. A small amount of correspondence includes a letter from the Southern Arizona Polo Club.
