The collection consists predominately of interviews conducted for the documentary film project, The bronze screen : 100 years of the latino image in American cinema (2002). Interviews with Ricardo Montalbán, Chico Day, Cesar Romero, Tito Guizar, and Katy Jurado are on 1/2 inch VHS videocassette. Interview footage of John Leguizamo, Alfonso Arau, Danny De la Paz, Lalo Schifrin, Pablo Ferro, Jimmy Smits, Lupe Ontiveros, Moctesuma Esparza, Luis Valdez, Ricardo Montalbán, George Hadley-Garcia, Charles Ramirez Berg, Rosa Linda Fregoso, and Raquel Welch are on 1/2 inch Betacam SP videocassette. An interview with Ricardo Montalbán is contained as part of five 1/2 inch DVCAM videocassettes (dubbed to 1/2 inch Betacam SP videocassettes). Interviews with Rubén Blades, Henry Silva, Edward James Olmos, Silvia Morales, Katy Jurado, Lalo Schifrin, Chon Noriega, Danny De la Paz, Jimmy Smits, Alfonso Arau, Lupita Tovar, John Alonzo, George Hadley-Garcia, Leon Ichaso, Chico Day, Pablo Ferro, Ricardo Montalbán, Raquel Welch, Rita Moreno, Elizabeth Peña, Luis Valdez, Charles Ramirez-Berg, Greg Nava, Cheech Marin, John Leguizamo, Rosa Linda Fregoso, Lupe Ontiveros, Moctesuma Esparza, Cesar Romero and Esai Morales are recorded on audio cassettes. Interviews of Cesar Romero, Elizabeth Peña, Lupita Tovar, Edward James Olmos, Greg Nava, Cheech Marin, Chon Noriega, Rubén Blades, Esai Morales, Silvia Morales, Henry Silva, John Alonzo, and Rita Moreno are recorded on audio tape reels. Also included as part of the collection are 1/2 inch VHS videocassettes containing a "Three amigos featurette," a "Frida Kahlo demonstration, protest & press conference," Edward James Olmos receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a Bronze screen "presentation reel" and "stills, motion control session." The bronze screen presentation reel is also on 3/4 inch videocassette. A Selena (1997) electronic press kit on 3/4 inch videocasette is in Spanish. Three reels of silent 16 mm. safety print containing camera rolls of Greg Nava and one more containing footage of Cheech Marin are dated July 19, 1978. The 16 mm. prints are each approximately 800 feet in length.
