Title: Rogers Family 1832-1888 Papers.

Letters and papers from the Rogers family in Louisville, Ky. The earliest letter is from Josephine Rogers written while her husband Jason was in the Black Hawk War. Later letters are written by Jason Rogers while he was a Col. in the Louisville Legion during the Mexican War. He was involved in the battle of Monterrey, Mexico and later became the military governor of the city. Rogers dies shortly after he returns to Louisville in 1848. The remaining collection consist of papers for land owned by Sidney Johnston Rogers in Louisville.
