James Bradford Cleaveland while serving as a Congregational minister in New Hartford (1863-1867) and Bloomfield (1867-1875), Connecticut. While he was in New Hartford he was chaplain of the Northern Star Lodge No. 58. A sheet listing donations given to Rev. Cleaveland from the lodge is attached to the front cover. Includes marriages he performed and the amount he received for the service, as well as numerous other financial transactions.
