The Bank of the Manhattan Company merged institutions include the American Trust Company, Bank of Long Island, Bank of the Metropolis, Bank of Washington Heights, Bronx Bank of the City of New York, Bronx Borough Bank, Bronx County Trust Company, Bronx National Bank, Central National Bank, Far Rockaway Bank, First National Bank of Brooklyn, First National Bank of Whitestone, Flushing Bank, Flushing National Bank, Greenpoint National Bank of Brooklyn, Hillside Bank, International Acceptance Bank, Little Neck National Bank of New York, Merchants National Bank of the City of New York, New York Title and Mortgage Company, Queens-Bellaire Bank, and Seward National Bank and Trust Company. The Chase National Bank merged institutions include the American Express Bank and Trust Company, Bowling Green Trust Company, Broadway Safe Deposit Company, Century Bank, City Trust Company of New York, Colonial Trust Company, Dewey State Bank, Equitable Trust Company, Fourth National Bank, Franklin National Bank, Garfield National Bank, Hamilton National Bank, Hamilton Trust Bank, Importers and Traders National Bank, International Banking and Trust Company, Interstate Trust Company, Leather Manufacturers National Bank, Lincoln Trust Company (Lincoln National Bank), and the Madison Trust Company.
