This is a collection of 30 photograph albums containing about 1050 black and white 7.5 in. (19 cm.) x 9.5 (24 cm.) photographs. It is unclear where these photograph albums originated. It appears that these albums were a collection of sample photographs that a customer could order duplicate photographs. Most of the albums have a note that states this or something similar: "The negative number & name of photographer is listed on all photographs. In selecting subjects, please list by number and name of photographer. Duplicate photographs can be secured for .60 each." The majority of the photographs have been taken by Asahel Curtis. Some of the other photographers mentioned within the albums are: Jones Photo Co., Walter P. Miller, Libby of Spokane, Frank W. Guilbert, John D. Cress, Pautzke Studios--Ellensburg, J.R. Eyerman--Tacoma, Charles Laidlow, J. Boyd Ellis, L. D. Lindsley and Pacific Aerial Surveys. One set of albums, Winter Sports, were a gift from Orville Borgerson's, private collection of photographs. They could be used to order duplicate photographs. Some of the photos of farms and agricultural crops identify the people in the photographs.
