An account, written for Dr. Thomas Shirly of London, by Thomas Overbury, Justice of the Peace, of one of the most bizarre murder cases in British history - a case in which the accused were tried and executed without the victim's body ever having been produced. Set against the backdrop of the Civil War and Restoration, the case involved theft, madness, witchcraft and a tale of abduction by Turkish slave traders.
