Sylvia O'Dwyer's papers include incoming correspondence, (1928-1934), photographs, temperance posters (1931-1932), and political pamphlets, n.d. The letters are primarily from Annie B. Jennings, a Fairfield philanthropist, or her secretary, and are related to political activities concerning the Women's Organization for National Prohibition Reform. One letter (1928), is addressed to the Women's Alfred E. Smith Club in Fairfield from the Democratic National Committee. The photographs further document O'Dywer's political activities and include an image taken at the Northeastern States Regional Conference, Women's Division, of the Democratic National Committee in Boston, 1942. The temperance posters were newspaper clippings glued to pieces of craft paper. The articles were copied and the original "posters" destroyed. The pamphlets describe Democratic and Republican platforms and other political issues. There is also an undated newspaper article describing O'Dwyer's call for open beaches. William M. O'Dwyer's papers include correspondence (1933-1934), again primarily from Annie B. Jennings, concerning a presidential ball he was organizing, along with a ticket to the birthday ball, 1934. His studies to join the Civil Service are documented by a letter and flyer from the Knights of Columbus Educational Bureau, and some exam booklets, 1933. His photographic portrait and a photograph of his house at 1177 Post Road are stored with oversized framed items. A postal cover issued when he took the position of postmaster and a cancellation stamp commemorating National Air Mail Week, May 1938, and a stamp with his signature complete his materials. William J. O'Dwyer's papers consist of a postcard with his notes about his experience with the aircraft portrayed, a letter (1972) regarding Air Force retirement benefits; sketches of animal wood carvings he made in 1988-1989; and correspondence and copies of documents (1975) regarding a Dept. of Environmental Protection hearing concerning Pine Creek.
