New Bedford Institute of Technology. Board of Trustees.

Incorporated in 1895, the Institute was originally known as the New Bedford Textile School (1899-1946), and previously known as the New Bedford Textile Institute (between 1946-1953) and the New Bedford Institute of Textiles and Technology (between 1953-1957) until it changed its name to the New Bedford Institute of Technology in 1957. The Institute ceased to exist in 1964 when it became Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Subsequent names were Southeastern Massachusetts University (between 1969-1991) and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (from 1991). The 15 member of the board of trustees, appointed by the governor, met monthly. Their last meeting was June 25, 1964.
