Biographical History

Benjamin P. Brown (1831-1905) was a farmer in American Fork and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Benjamin Pearce Brown was born to Ann Pearce Brown and Joseph Brown on December 31, 1831, in Staten Island, New York. On March 19, 1857, he married Rebecca Webb. They had nine children. Brown traveled with his wife, infant daughter, and parents to Utah in 1860. Prior to this, he had worked for Brigham Young, traveling across the United States to get materials and machinery for coopering. Once in Utah, he and his wife settled in American Fork, but later moved to Salt Lake City to give their children better opportunites for education.
