Biographical History

Roden Berkeley Wriothesley Noel, British poet and essayist. He held the position of Privy Chamber Groom to Queen Victoria from 1867-71. Noel's most popular work was A Little Child's Monument (1881), a poem inspired by the death of his five year old son. His A Life of Lord Byron was published in 1890.
