Biographical History
Radcliffe College Library, partially funded by Andrew Carnegie, was designed by Winslow and Bigelow and built in 1908. Prior to this time, the Library had been housed at 6 Appian Way, then in Fay House (1885-1901) and later in Gilman House (1901-1908). In 1966 the Library was transferred to Hilles Library at the Radcliffe Quadrangle and since 1971 has been managed by Harvard University.
