Barber B. Conable (b.1922) graduated from Cornell University in 1942, and was a Republican congressman representing the 37th Congressional District, New York in the U.S. House of Representatives until his retirement in 1985. He served as a New York senator, 1963-1964, before being elected to the 89th Congress.
