Biographical History

Kathryn C. "Kat" Cammack (born February 16, 1988) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, she has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 3rd congressional district since 2021.

Born in Denver, Colorado, she attended the University of Virginia before earning a B.A. from Metropolitan State University of Denver and an M.S. from the Naval War College. As an undergraduate, Cammack worked as an intern in the office of then-U.S. Representative Mike Coffman. She later joined the congressional campaign of Ted Yoho; after Yoho was elected to the House, Cammack served as his deputy chief of staff from 2013 until 2019. Outside of politics, Cammack operated an independent political consulting firm.

After Yoho fulfilled his pledge to only serve four terms, Cammack announced her candidacy to succeed him. After her election to the 117th Congress, she was selected to serve on the Homeland Security and Agriculture Committees in the US House of Representatives. Cammack is anti-abortion. She has supported the construction of a border wall along the Mexico–United States border. In June 2021, Cammack was one of forty-nine House Republicans who voted in favor of the repeal of the AUMF against Iraq.
