Sir Stephen Harold Spender (February 28, 1909 - July 16, 1995) was an english poet and novelist who worked with the themes of social injustice and class struggle. He was a Professor of English Literature at University College in Oxford, and author of over fifty works.
Ian Hamilton (March 24, 1938- December 27, 2001) was a British literary critic, reviewer, poet and magazine editor/publisher. It was at his job at the Times Literary Supplement, holding the position from 1965-1973.
