Alexander Young (1800-1854) was an Unitarian minister and an antiquarian. He graduated from Harvard in 1820. After graduating from the Harvard Divinity School in 1824, he became the pastor of the New South Church in Boston, Mass. (ordained on 9 January 1825), and remained in that position until his death. He married Caroline James on 1 November 1826; they had twelve children.
Edward Everett (1794-1865) was an Unitarian clergyman, a teacher, a statesman, and an orator. He graduated from Harvard in 1811, the Harvard Divinity School in 1814, and received a Ph.D. from Gottingen in 1817. He was the Eliot Professor of Greek Literature during the year 1824.
