Biographical History

Henry James Tudor, the eighth and youngest child of William (1750-1819) and Delia Jarvis Tudor (1753-1843), lived from 1791 to 1864. He was an assistant to his brother Frederic (1783-1864) in the ice business, while at the same time carrying on experiments for evaporating sea salt in large quantities. In 1844, he married Fanny Hortense Foster, daughter of William Foster, Junior, merchant of Boston. They had three daughters.
