3 Oct 1820 - 18 Jun 1864 "Clark Moulton Avery was the son of Isaac Thomas and Harriet Erwin Avery. He married Elizabeth Tilghman Walton on Jun 23,1841 at Morganton, NC. He served in the Confederacy during the Civil War." Wounded several times and died of infection. "His children were Martha Matilda, who married George Phifer; Harriet Louise, who married Rev.
