Biographical History

Harold R. Bull was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. Hegraduated from U.S. Military Academy (USMA) in the class of 1914. He service in World War I (WWI) and was chief of operations under Eisenhower at Supreme Allied Headquarters during WWII. Bull later became a commandant of the National War College.

Harold Roe Bull (1893-1976) was a graduate of the United States Military Academy. He served as Assistant Chief of Staff (G-3) on the War Department staff from 1941 to 1942, and as Commanding General of the Replacement and School Command of Army Ground Forces in Birmingham, Alabama, from 1942 to 1943. Also during 1943, Bull was a Special Field Observer, AFHQ, in North Africa and Commanding General of the III Corps. From 1943 to 1945 he was the Assistant Chief of Staff (G-3), COSSAC and SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force), and from 1945 to 1946, he was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff for USFET (United States Army Forces in the European Theater). Bull retired from the military in 1952.
