The Eddystone Manufacturing Company was founded in 1877 in Eddystone, Pa., by William Simpson for the manufacture of cotton prints. It became the Print Works Division of the Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company in 1929.
The Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company and its unincorporated predecessors operated a cotton textile mill at Rockford, now within the city limits of Wilmington, Del., from 1831 to 1981.
The Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company and its unincorporated predecessors operated a cotton textile mill at Rockford, now within the city limits of Wilmington, Delaware, beginning in 1831. It became a division of Indian Head Mills, Inc. in 1961 and closed in 1981.
