Biographical History
Physician and pharmacist of Concord, Mass. Born Mar. 1, 1749, son of Deacon Simon Hunt of Concord. Graduated from Harvard 1770; studied medicine in Concord with Dr. John Cuming. Began practice in Dracut, Mass., before returning to Concord. Married Lucy Whiting, daughter of Thomas Whiting. The 1782-1803 volume of Hunt's accounts show, on hand-numbered p. 108, that Hunt and and his brother-in-law Thomas Whiting were business partners in the sale of dry goods, etc. Taught school in Concord for two years, beginning 1786. Member of Concord's first School Committee.
