Ray Douglas Bradbury was born in Waukegan, IL, Aug. 22, 1920; started his writing career in 1943; the winner of various awards, he is known primarily for writing fantasy and science fiction stories; he has authored numerous novels, short stories, plays, films, poems, and articles, including The Martian chronicles (1950), Dandelion wine, and Something wicked this way comes.
Ray Bradbury (b. 1920), a prolific writer of science fiction and fantasy, moved to Los Angeles as a child and has lived there ever since. He is best known for his books The Martian Chronicles and Farenheit 451, but he has also adapted his stories for television and film and has written about 600 short stories.
