Moses Pond (1787-1873): lawyer; Connecticut State representative (1837-1855); and selectman of Wolcott, Connecticut.
Samuel and Narcissa Chamberlain were noted authorities in the field of gastronomy. In 1974 they donated their collection of over 800 cookbooks from France, Italy, Great Britain, and the United States to the Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America at Radcliffe College.
