Biographical History

Father Strittmatter died at Boulder Community Hospital at the age of 64. He moved to Boulder as an assistant pastor in the Catholic Church in 1902, and returned to Sacred Heart Church as pastor in 1906 after several years in Pueblo, Colo. He was a personal friend of Walter P. Chrysler, who was a benefactor of the Sacred Heart Church, as was Father Agatho himself. Chrysler donated the 16 tube set of Deagan chimes in the church tower. The chimes were played first on Christmas day 1928.

From the description of Agatho, Father printed materials. [ca. 1925]-1938. (Boulder Public Library). WorldCat record id: 427289999
