Biographical History

Amalia Hernández Navarro (b. Sept. 19, 1917, Mexico City, Mexico–d. Nov. 5, 2000, Mexico City, Mexico) was a Mexican ballet choreographer. She attended National School of Dance, directed by Nellie Campobello but later dropped out. In 1952, she founded the dance company Ballet Folklórico de México.
