Biography

Charles L. Neumiller (1873-1933) was prominent Stockton (Calif.) politician and attorney (1910-1933). Neumiller served as Chairman of the Republican State Central Committee during the 1920s and was a strong supporter of Progressive Republican Governor, U.S. Senator and Presidential aspirant, Hiram W. Johnson. He collected Johnson's speeches and other memorabilia relevant to Johnson's, as well as to his own, career.
