Biographical History

Milton Garver was born on September 3, 1879 in Navarre, Ohio. He received a A.B. degree from Adelbert College in 1901 and graduated from Yale University (M.A., 1902; Ph.D., 1904). Garver taught French at Yale from 1905-1918 and 1919-1937. He also served as an interpreter during World War I and at the Paris Peace Conference (1919). Garver died in Clifton Springs, New York on August 6, 1937.
