Biographical History
M. Warren Krause, born around 1892, was a native of Chicago. He came to Arizona in the 1920s and took a job working in the copy department of The Arizona Republic. Except for four years during World War II, he published The Arizona Guide continuously from 1938 until his death. Krause was an active member of the Phoenix Advertising Club, the Phoenix Press Club, the Arizona Newspaper Association, as well as the Valley Field Riding and Polo Club. Krause died on May 2, 1972. He was survived by his wife Betty Fennemore Krause, daughter Mrs. John Sherman, and two sons John F. and Richard J. For more information see the Warren Krause Manuscript Collection (FM MSS #108).
