Biographical History

Biographical note: George Douglas, who took these photographs, was chief engineer at Nacozari from 1900 to 1904, and inspector for Phelps Dodge from 1904 to 1905. On February 19th and 20th, 1910 aviator Charles K. Hamilton brought his bi-plane to Tucson for an aviation exhibition. The demonstration was conducted at the Elysian Grove racetrack.
