Biographical History

Dr Gordon Bottomley (1874-1948) was an English poet and dramatist. His favoured genre was verse drama. His themes were taken from Celtic and northern legend. He was president of the Scottish Community Drama Association and vice president of the British Drama League .

David Glen MacKemmie was secretary of the St Andrew Society and a founder of the Scottish National Players . He was secretary of the Scottish National Theatre Society, 1922-1928, and founder, chairman (1930) and later vice president of the Scottish Community Drama Association .
