Bacher was born in Rumania on Oct. 20, 1900; DDS, Univ. of Illinois; LL. B, New Jersey Law School; practiced dentistry for 10 years; entered radio in 1929 as a producer; radio productions included: Palmolive beauty box theatre, Texaco star theatre, Camel caravan, and Treasury star parade; did 168 broadcasts for US Treasury Dept. and bond programs during WWII; joined 20th Century-Fox in 1943 and produced Wing and a prayer (1944), Leave her to heaven (1945), and Carnival in Costa Rica (1947); edited book on Treasury star parade; co-wrote and produced Untamed in 1955.
