Biographical History
Antique book dealer. Born September 18, 1904 in Evanston, Indiana. Graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in journalism. Reporter for the Washington Post, Washington Star. Aviation editor for the Chicago Tribune. Moved to Denver, Colo. in 1944 as an information specialist for U.S. Forest Service. Member of the Denver Posse of the Westerners. Opened an antiquarian bookstore, The Collectors' Center, in Denver, Colorado in 1950. Died May 16, 1984.
Donald Beaty Bloch was employed by the Fish and Wildlife Service, United States Department of the Interior. He participated in the founding of the Fortean Society (dedicated to continuing the work of Charles Fort (1874-1932)) and corresponded during the 1940s and 1950s with its secretary, Tiffany Thayer.
