Biographical History

Samuel White was a Boston merchant with an extensive trade in hardware, clothing, "haberdashery," tea, and other goods. In 1783, in partnership with "George Moore of London" he owned the ship Bell. Later in the year he also purchased at public auctions the schooners Success and Hawk.
