Biographical History

Ray M. Culter is a 1968 graduate of the University of Cincinnati and played an important role in conserving the Little Miami River basin. He served as Vice President of The Nature Conservancy and Director of Business Operations, Administration, Trade Land Dispositions, Corporate Purchasing, and Trade Lands.

The Nature Conservatory works to protect ecologically significant land and water habitats around the world. The organization was formed in 1946 as Ecologists Union by a small group of scientists. The organization has protected 119 million acres of land and 5,000 miles of rivers.
