Biographical History
Jackson is a significant collegiate athlete from Auburn University. He was born in Bessemer, Ala., in 1962. Upon his graduation from McAdory High School there, the New York Yankees drafted him to play baseball. He rejected the offer and attended Auburn University, where he lettered in three sports and won football's Heisman Trophy. His national sports career in both football and baseball also was exemplary. In 1995, Jackson returned to Auburn to complete his bachelor's degree in family and child development. Afterwards, he became a Chicago-area businessman.
